Daniel Kim

Daniel Kim currently serves as a leader of one of our Mixed Life CGs.

Daniel was saved during his sophomore year at a youth retreat!  He’s been in and out of KCPC, but he’s been consistently attending since 2012.  He was formerly a JG Small group leader from 2016 to 2021.  Currently, he is serving as a CG leader for the Tyson/Vienna/Mclean location, a core member for Men's ministry, as well as staff for KCPC Advisory Engineering Committee (AEC).  He is a gearhead and likes anything of mechanical or technological interests.  Daniel believes that our ability should not be the determining factor of serving, but rather our willingness and availability.  As we serve, we develop testimonies, and he believes that everyone has a testimony for people to hear.

1) What is your favorite Bible verse?

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.  Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Matthew 6:33-34

2) Why did you decide to become a CG Leader?

I was given an ultimatum - hahaha.  All joking aside, the current CG leader at the time was stepping down and asked me to step up and be obedient to the Lord’s command of leading CG!

3) How can we pray for you?

The continual guidance and wisdom in His Spirit and Truth.

4) How have you been blessed during your time as a CG leader?

I honestly don’t feel like I’m leading CG.  It feels like the CG is leading me, and I feel blessed by that because I learn so much!

5) If you could describe your CG in 3 words, what would they be?

Fellowship, intimacy, and presence.

6) What is your favorite dessert?

Ice cream! (Especially Jeni’s Ice Cream!)

7) What was your favorite song in middle school?

Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance.

8) If you could time travel, would you rather go to the past or into the future? Why?

The Past!!!  Fix all those embarrassing and humiliating mistakes that I made.
