Luke Kim
Luke currently serve as a CG leader for the All-Stars teachers.
Our CG is home to most of the All Stars ministry volunteers. The goal of this CG is to be a place where members grow and mature in their faith and be spiritually filled so that they may best serve their students in All Stars. Although we are mostly only a few years out of college, our members actually cover all age from 20 to 31!
I co-lead this CG with John Yu, an older brother of mine that I've known for a long time through church. We meet every Thursday in Fairfax.
What prompted you to become a CG Leader?
The need was evident - with much blessings, EC has especially grown quickly in the young adults community. Though I loved attending as a member in my previous CG, I felt a strong call to now serve the community myself.
How long have you attended KCPC?
Since 7th grade (All Stars)
What areas have you served or are currently serving at KCPC?
Since I came back from college, I have served in JG as Praise Team Leader and EC Praise Team.
I am currently serving in the All Stars staff-care/ CG leader.
When did you get saved and what were the circumstances that led you to Christ?
It was a gradual renewal of my heart and revealing of Christ in my life. I do not recall a grandeur moment that my life turned upside down, but all glory be to Christ that the Holy Spirit worked diligently in my heart to recognize the sin in my life and by one degree to the next, turning my heart towards the cross and away from my sins. I still struggle with putting my complete trust in God. I find myself putting my securities and hopes in money, relationships, comfort, and so on. But I am reminded continuously through His Word that my hope and assurance is in Christ who brings me more joy than anything in this life can offer.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
This verse helps me to find strength in times of trouble and know that my God has something awesome prepared for me.
What is your favorite dessert?
A good slice of cake or ice cream.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love being active outdoors! I play a lot of sports casually like volleyball, soccer, and tennis/pickle ball. I also love just chatting over coffee or food.
Tell us something unique or funny about yourself.
I love buying/collecting books. No guarantees I read them.

How can we pray for you?
I'm getting married soon.... 'nough said. Please pray that Areum and I will have a God glorifying marriage!
